Since 1992 Ashiyana has become a leading community advocate and voice by elevating ethnic representation across Surrey. Her ability to connect residents with crucial information on issues including public safety, small business and consumer protection, and transparent city governance is now woven into the fabric of civic dialogue across Surrey.
Ashiyana will provide experienced oversight on issues like spending discipline and aims to strengthen local businesses and investment for greater job creation in the city. She joins mayoral candidate Mike Starchuk and fellow council candidates William Li, Kevin Wilkie, Narima Dela Cruz and Yousef Aldabainah in their common commitment to more affordable home costs and lower city fees, a vigorous public safety strategy, and reducing traffic congestion across Surrey.
